Brioche

A loaf of brioche was going for about S$12.00 at a local supermarket.

Hence I decided to make one myself.

What goes in there ?

1/2 cup milk
2 1/2 cup breadflour
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup butter
1 tsp dried yeast

Total cost....less than S$3.00 probably





Dough was made using my breadmaker.

Divide dough into 3, plait it loosely making sure that both ends are tucked in. Leave to rise in loaf pan for 45 mins, brush top with egg wash & sprinkle with some sugar. Bake in pre-heated oven of 180C for 30 mins or until bottom of pan sounds hollow when tapped.







Served on its own or with some good quality rasberry jam & a knob of butter..

Taste like heaven.
