These are absolutely decadent Lemon Cream Cheese Cupcakes. I would like to attribute the success of this recipe to another fellow blogger. Everything about the cupcake was perfect. The texture was light and fluffy, just the right amount of sweetness and the lemon adds a wonderful citrus aroma to the cake. A cupcake is seldom left 'undressed'. I added a touch of lemon juice to the icing and topped with thin slices of caramelized pear. Personally the cupcakes are best eaten when they are just out of the oven. Believe me, the melt in your mouth.
