If you have any leftovers in your fridge or freezer that could potentially be a pie filling, you have to give this a go. Calzones are Italian turnovers. They are basically savory pies and can be found in most pizza palors. For making the dough, I used a pizza base recipe with one tsp of oregano. The oregano enhances the flavor of the dough. It is a great way to expose children to eating herbs and vegetables. For the little one, I filled up a couple of calzones with ham, tomato paste and cheese and leftover beef rendang for growups. It will almost go with anything. I am definitely going to freeze some for future quick dinners fixes.
